lyme regis - heritage build
This project was a complete renovation and rebuild of a 200 year old house, so it required a lot of care and attention. We began by stripping the building back to the bare plaster then installing a series of engineered beams throughout the downstairs area to open up the smaller rooms, thus creating a more open plan living space.
We dug out the ground floor and installed a new ground bearing slab, with insulation and under floor heating, finished with tiling the floor throughout. It also involved re-engineering the entire roof structure, using a complex arrangement of steel trusses and timber rafters to maximise the space available.
As part of the renovation we also installed new staircases, a new kitchen, new bathrooms and a new plumbing system whilst also rewiring the whole house. Throughout the project we offered personal and bespoke carpentry services, including fabricating unique wardrobes and cupboards throughout the property.
